Here are some photos of the Junior Independent GFA opening at the Studio Center! This class was great and I am taking it again next semester!

As I have mentioned before, I have been struggling this semester with my concepts and figuring out the root to my interests. I have been digging deeper and been interested in a drawing series I’m creating with charcoal. These drawings are dealing with my familial relationships. I want to get these problems across by creating atmospheres through mark making to create a feeling. A friend told me its like I’m trying to get closer to these people by drawing them, to create a presence. So my work isn’t just about me, sexuality and/or my womanhood anymore. It is about my experiences with the people who affect me the most and have influenced me to become who I am today.
